WELCOMING YOU HOME

Ignite Ministry opens their doors for displaced refugee youth living in the US. Our ministry offers them a safe place to learn about God’s love and to come into relationship with other refugee kids. The ministry seeks to positively impact this chosen generation of youth by sharing the gospel and seeking intentional community through unity in God’s love.

OUR STRATEGY

Invite refugee youth to dynamic worship gatherings, discipleship groups & bible studies that use simple English.
Lead the youth to begin a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Disciple the youth through small groups, bible studies, fun events, adventure retreats and mission trips.
Train those who express interest as leaders & missionaries.
Share god's love through home visits with refugee families.
Equip this generation of leaders from the oppressed peoples of Myanmar/Burma by teaching the Bible and affirming God's giftings, callings, and mission upon each student's life.

Serving refugees in our community is something Ignite feels very passionate about. Being an extension of Christ's hands and feet to the lives of this chosen generation is our greatest desire.

OUR STORY

John & Barb Lewis have served in church ministry for over 25 years.
Their story began when they met and married in college while completing master degrees in Theology.
Barbara has passed on to be with the Father and now intercedes for the family and ministry.
Their son Matt Lewis helped found Ignite and after a B.S. in Youth Ministry from CCU, has obeyed the call to this ministry
In 2008 they heard a clear call to serve refugee youth in Denver.
In 2012 they expanded the ministry to serve in Myanmar & Thailand where they support local pastors in bringing God's love to communities & churches.
